April, 2014

Born to Explore, for which Jeff serves as editor/finishing editor, has been awarded two Silver Telly Awards (highest honor) in the category of Wildlife/Nature and nine additional Bronze Telly Awards including the category of Editing, on an episode for which Jeff served as the primary editor ("Mysteries of the Desert").

March, 2014

Born to Explore, for which Jeff serves as editor/finishing editor, has been awarded a Silver Telly Award in the category of Wildlife/Nature and a Bronze Telly in the category of Cultural Programming.

January, 2014

Born to Explore, for which Jeff serves as editor/finishing editor, has been awarded a Parents Choice Gold Award for the second consecutive season.

 

June, 2013

Born to Explore, for which Jeff serves as editor/finishing editor, has won a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography (Film or Electroncic). Special congratulations to John Barnhardt (Cinematographer) and Greg Harriot (B Camera Operator) for the Emmy! Born to Explore has also been awarded the Parents Choice Gold Award, Telly Award and Cynopsis Kids !magination Award for the 2013 season.

May, 2013

Born to Explore (which airs Saturdays at 10am on ABC in most U.S. markets), for which Jeff serves as editor/finishing editor, has been nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards in the categories of Outstanding Travel Series and Outstanding Achievement in Single Camera Photography (Film or Electroncic). Special congratulations to John Barnhardt (Cinematographer) and Greg Harriot (B Camera Operator) for the latter nomination.

May, 2012

Born to Explore (which airs Saturdays at 10am on ABC in most U.S. markets), for which Jeff serves as finishing editor, has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Children's Series. The competition will be tough, as classic series Jack Hanna's Into the Wild and The Electric Company are also among the nominees.

 

March, 2012

While Jeff continues to stay busy as the finishing editor on Born to Explore (airing Saturdays at 10am on ABC in most U.S. markets), he has also recently released the debut album of either/orwell, a collaboration with fellow guitarist Jarod Weldin. The album is available for download from CD Baby, Amazon, eMusic or worldwide via iTunes. The CD will be available by the end of March.

 

January, 2012

Happy New Year! It has been a busy past few months, and it may be a while before the next New Mythic Take film goes into production. David has been busy painting, and Jeff has been busy as the finishing editor on Born to Explore (airing Saturdays at 10am on ABC in most U.S. markets), along with editing The Exchange and Selfishness. However, both Assumed Identity and Deep and Secret Things can now be screened on New Mythic Take's Vimeo page.

 

Summer, 2011

David and Jeff are making progress on the next, yet-to-be-titled screenplay and are hopeful to move into pre-production by the end of the summer. Meanwhile, Jeff is staying busy with editing projects, including Born to Explore (which airs Saturdays on ABC—check your local listings), recently completed television pilot Butterflies Wake, Cooking with Michelle and two more short films later this year.

 

May, 2011

Assumed Identity will be screened at Lowcountry Indie Shorts 5 on May 7 during 7-9pm block. The event takes place at The Olde North Charleston Picture House located at 4820 Jenkins Avenue, North Charleston, SC. More details can be found via Park Circle Films or Facebook. This block also features an animated short edited and scored by Jeff entitled anotHer day, which was directed by Caleb Sadler and photographed by frequent NMT collaborator Daniel Jones. There is also a block from 4-6pm featuring more locally produced film shorts. Admission is free.


April, 2011

Deep and Secret Things has been named an Official Selection of the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival. The film will screen on Tuesday, April 19th during the 5-7pm block. More information and details can be found on the MBIFF website.
